Christmas News

Christmas Concerts:
The Girls’ School Senior Classes Christmas Show ‘Nativity Rock’ will take place on Tuesday, December 21st in the National College of Ireland at 3.30pm.

All girls from 1st to 6th Class are taking part and we would ask you to note the following:
· We would ask all parents to be on time.
· Younger children and buggies are not permitted.
· A raffle will take place on the night.
· Children can be collected directly after the show.

Congratulations to the girls from the infant classes who performed so brilliantly in their play last Wednesday. Many thanks to Ms O’Hehir, Ms Delahunty and Ms Doohan for all their hard work and preparations.

School Closing:
The Girls school will close on Thursday the 23rd of December at 12noon for the Christmas break and will re-open on Monday the 10th of December.

School Gifts for Teachers:
Our school understands that children and parents often wish to show their appreciation to a class teacher for their hard work during the year. However in these harsh economic times, we understand that families are under extreme financial stress at the moment.

We would therefore like to state that gifts for teachers are not necessary, and that parents should not feel in any way under obligation to buy a gift for a teacher.

Mind Your Head:
Please be sure to take the opportunity over the Christmas period to check your child’s hair and to treat any problems that you may detect.
It is extremely important that your child’s hair is checked and treated regularly.

And Finally………Happy Christmas!!
All the staff and students of St Laurence O’Toole’s Girls’ School would like to wish you and all your family a very Happy Christmas and a peaceful and prosperous New Year.
