Croke Park Finals 2009:
Joint Letter from St Laurence O'Toole’s
Senior Boys and Girls’ Schools

Dear Parent / Guardian,
As you may be aware, both the girls and senior boys’ schools have reached the finals of their Cumann na mBunscol competitions which are due to be played on Saturday the 12th of December at 12.45pm in Croke Park.
Both finals will be played at the same time side by side.
This is a magnificent achievement for our community and we are very proud of all the children, their parents and their teachers.

Please take note of the following information:
The teachers will only be taking charge children involved in the teams and those arrangements will be made next week.

As the matches take place on a Saturday, all supporters must be accompanied by an adult. Ticket prices are €5 for adults and €2 for children. Unaccompanied children will not be admitted.

Schools are anxious to show the GAA that children deserve to use Croke Park for their finals so the best of behaviour is required at all times.

Please be sure to wear green and white on the day to cheer on our teams and to applaud the children, win lose or draw.

If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the schools at any time.

Mr. Mark Candon
Principal of St Laurence O’Toole’s CBS
Mr. Aodhán Ó Ríordáin
Principal of St Laurence O'Tooles Girls’ Schools

Newsletter - December 7th 2009

Trip to West End in London:
Congratulations to the 6th Class girls for completing their trip to the West End last Wednesday to see the musical ‘Wicked’. The girls also took a walking trip through Trafalgar Square, the Queen’s Barracks, Piccadilly Circus and Leicester Square. The girls would like to thank all those who supported their cake sale and Dublin Bus and Dublin Port for their sponsorship.

December 8th – Feast of the Immaculate Conception:
The girls will be attending mass this Tuesday the 8th of December as it is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. This is NOT a free day from school.

Half Day This Friday:
There will be a half day for all girls next Friday the 11th of December at 12noon as the teachers are reaching some staff training.

Head Lice:
We are asking parents to regularly check their children’s hair and if they see a problem to treat it. Head Lice is a common problem in every school and so parents must be vigilant in preventing it from spreading.

Christmas Concerts:
The Christmas Concerts are due to take place on Monday the 21st of December in the National College of Ireland. Further details will be available shortly.
